Paintless dent repair
What is paintless dent repair?
Paintless dent repair (PDR) is a way of removing dents by reshaping the metal from behind the panel with specialized rods, or pulling it from the front with glue tabs — without sanding, filler, or paint. Dent Elements does PDR at its shop in Edwardsville, Kansas.
What can’t PDR fix?
Dents where the paint is cracked or chipped, metal that’s torn or badly stretched, and some damage right on panel edges. We’ll tell you before starting if your dent is one of these.
Does PDR show up on CarFax?
No. PDR doesn’t involve a repaint. An insurance claim is a separate record between you and your insurer.
How long does it take?
Most door dings take under an hour and most single dents are same-day. Hail cars typically take two to five days.
Do you fix aluminum panels?
Yes. Aluminum takes more time than steel, so it usually costs a bit more.

How much does dent repair cost in Kansas City?

Does insurance cover hail damage?
Yes, if you carry comprehensive coverage. You pay your deductible and the insurer pays the rest of the approved repair.
Will a hail claim raise my rates?
Weather claims under comprehensive coverage are generally treated differently from at-fault accidents, but policies vary. Ask your agent.
Do I have to use my insurer’s shop?
No. In Kansas and Missouri you choose your repair shop.
Can you help keep my out-of-pocket cost down?
We don’t waive or pay deductibles, but we’ll work with your budget. Some customers want a flawless finish no matter what; others would rather keep their out-of-pocket cost down and are happy with a result that’s very good but not perfect. We’ll walk you through the options for your car. If a shop simply offers to cover your deductible, it’s fair to ask exactly how they plan to do that.
What is a supplement?
An additional payment request to your insurer when more damage is found than the original estimate covered. We file these for you.
